Bio:Diego Rivera was a Mexican painter who produced murals on social themes. Between 1907 and 1921 it is understood he studied painting in Europe.
Rivera returned to Mexico in 1921 and was at the forefront of the country's revival of mural painting. He concentrated on creating large frescoes portraying the history and social problems of Mexico
Rivera also painted many oils and watercolours. His time in Europe considerably enriched his style. Diego Rivera was married to the artist Frida Kahlo.
